Maine Road Runner

Road Runner offers writers a forum, an audience, and a modest amount of
compensation.
THE
FACTS
Style:
Road Runner
is looking for web journalism. Short, punchy pieces that hook a reader within the first
few sentences. As long as you're passionate about the subject you're covering, we're
interested (pictures always are an added plus!).
Slant:
Non-fiction,
fiction, sports, places and obviously local - but we're also open to well-written pieces
about travel, technology, media, holiday themes (from Valentine's Day to
New Year's and all
the holidays in-between), and more. Interviews with local scene-makers, regional current
events, and historical perspectives on local controversies are all welcome.
Size:
We're looking
for pieces between 500 to 1200 words.
Payment:
We pay
$125
per article we use.
How to submit your stuff:
We prefer
e-mail, naturally, and be sure to take some pictures if you can!
Send either the story itself, or a short query about the subject you
want to cover to our editor.
Thank you for your interest in writing for
Road Runner - Northern Maine!
