Clip Description:
Begun in 1935, the Passamaquoddy Tidal Power Project was designed to transform the bay's daily tidal surge of 70 billion cubic feet of water into 550,000 kilowatts of electric power. Because of financing problems, construction ended in August 1936, but the causeways that connect Moose Island to Carlow's Island and Pleasant Point are the completed parts of this project. |
