"Call this guy at the Eastland. He wants to do an IPIX from the
roof," said Carrie, a colleague who works in Road
Runner Business Class.
A short time later, I made contact with Bruce Miller, head of the Eastland
Park Hotel's engineering staff. "It's the highest point on the Portland
Peninsula," he tells me.
A few years ago, we shot pictures from the top of 477
Congress Street, the Time and Temperature building. It was
actually the first IPIX I took for aroundmaine.com. This was
a chance to move up the hill and up the street, to get a new
look at a different part of town.
Thanks to Bruce and everyone at the Eastland
Park Hotel on High Street in Portland, for the chance to see an amazing
bird's-eye view of Portland.
