| Welcome to Trivial Thursday from Around Town. Each Thursday, we'll post
a new trivia question. Then we'll pick a winner at random from the correct
answers. Hopefully these questions will require some research. Typically this
research will be something you can accomplish using a web browser, and usually we'll even
provide a hint.
Now here are the official rules:
1.) The prize each week is a $100
gift certificate. If the winner is in Southern Maine, he or she will receive a Maine Mall
certificate. If the winner is in Northern Maine, they will receive an Aroostook Centre
Mall certificate.
2.) Prizes may be picked up in person at the Time Warner Cable office in Portland
or Presque Isle during our regular business hours beginning the Monday after the winner is
announced. Prizes will NOT be mailed. Prizes unclaimed after two(2) weeks will
be forfeited.
3.) By entering the contest you give Road Runner the right to use your name on the
web site in the event you win. Names will not be used for any other purpose. (Road Runner Privacy Policy)
4.) Time Warner/Road Runner employees, and members of their immediate families are
not eligible to win.
5.) Individuals may win no more than once in any six month period. Only one
entry per household per week.
6.) Winners will be notified by e-mail |
Last week's winner: Congratulations to Katherine Wiggins of Gorham, who correctly answered last
week's question, How many visitors does Acadia National Park host each year? The
answer: 2.6 Million
Here's this weeks question:
| In what state is
the American Ferret Association incorporated?
|
Hint: Look to the site of the day.
Though this one will require a little digging.
Incidentally, if your curious how we select the winners,
here's the procedure. We import all the answers into a spreadsheet and select a
number using the random number generator at random.org.
The person who's correct entry has that line in the spreadsheet is the winner!
If you've got the answer, put the information in the form
below, we'll pick the winner at random from the correct entries
Thanks, and good luck!
