Derbyfest opened Friday February 23 with a kid's fishing derby in Raymond on Thomas Pond just off Route 302. Organizers credited the spectacular weather for an impressive turnout of children looking to hook a big trout. The Children's Fishing Derby was just the first in a whole weekend filled with events including auto and motorcycle racing on the Sebago Lake ice, snow sculpture and even a dance contest.
